Many people have to live with bladder problems. As this is most commonly known to affect the elderly, bladder leakage can occur in any person of any age including children, teens, adults, pregnant women or women who have had multiple pregnancies, and athletes. Some who lives with bladder control problems has more than likely had a traumatizing experience at some point in their lives. As incontinent as bladder control problems are there are ways to help you can control of your bladder. Although these tips will help they may not have long term results. If you are comfortable enough to use these tips and you know and understand that you may have to continue use so that you are able to see long term results. So then let’s get started. First and fore most, you should get a medical diagnosis. If you experience bladder leakage from time to time and it may not be a serious condition, you should still consult your physician. Although some leakage is normal for most adults and the elderly, you would rather be safe than sorry. Finding out if this is a serious condition in your particular case will benefit you, this is will also help you to find out why you are having these leaks. If you continue to have leaks or would like to try preventing future leaks, you should try Kegel exercise. These exercises help to strengthen the pubococcygeal muscles. This will help avoid pelvis floor problems. To do these exercises, you simply contract the vagina and then relax. You can do these exercises any time of day and any place you may be, do these exercises 20-400 times per day. The amount of time you do this depends on you and your strength. There are also bladder control medications on the market which must be given by prescription only. Not everyone will be eligible for these medications so you must talk to your doctor before you decide this is right for you. Your doctor will be able to prescribe the necessary medications for you. If you must go out in public and are afraid of having a leakage problem and you are not ready to deal with the embarrassment, you can wear special padding or adult diapers which are available at you local pharmacy or drugstore. These pads are not noticeable under your clothing and can be worn any time during the day while out shopping or while at home doing your everyday activities. Lastly you may try limiting your fluid intake. Stop drinking fluids after a certain time in the evening. This will allow you have the fluids you need during the day and reduce the chance of have a problem throughout the night. Do not deprive yourself of the fluids your body needs, therefore if you feel uncomfortable about ceasing your intake right away, you shouldn’t do it. Your body needs to stay hydrated so be sure you are taking in the amount of water you need each day. Before you begin using these tips please consult your doctor and make sure this would be right for you. Although many have seen results using these tips, they may not be right for everyone.
